Mr. Srinivas G Shirgurkar, - Founder Director of Ace Designers Limited has done his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. He Started his career as a Machine Tool Design Engineer at Central Machine Tool Institute. Bangalore. (now Central Manufacturing Technology Institute also called as CMTI).  He, along with his colleagues from CMTI set-up Ace Designers in the year 1979, as a partnership firm offering machine tool design consultancy. In the year 1982 the firm stated building Special Purpose Machines for Auto Component Industry and in 1986 started manufacturing CNC lathes.

Today, Ace Designers Limited is a Public Limited Company and one of the largest manufacturers of CNC turning machines in India with a market share of over 30%.  Mr. Shirgurkar is the brain behind the Product Development, Marketing, Administration and Finance. He is also in the Board of Wendt India Limited, a public listed company as an Independent Chairman. He is also the promoted director of Ace Manufacturing Systems Limited, an unlisted public company. Also serving in the Board of Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (IMTMA). He was the President of IMTMA during the period 1999-2001. He was honored with IMTMA H. R. Gupta Life-Time Achievement Award, for his contribution to the Indian Machine tool industry.

Benedict Machado– Founder Director of Ace Designers Limited has done B.E. in Mechanical Engineering in the year 1970 and started his career as Design Engineer with CMTI in 1970. He left CMTI in the year 1979. He along with his colleagues from CMTI set-up Ace Designers in the year 1979, as a partnership firm offering machine tool design consultancy.

Mr. Machado has won DSIR National Award for R&D efforts in Mechanical Engineering Industries, instituted by Government of India, Ministry of Science and Technology for the year 1995. The machines designed and manufactured under the leadership of Mr. Benedict Machado have won several awards at various international exhibitions - IMTEX.

P Ramadas, completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from REC-Surathkal in the year 1968 and M-Tech from IIT Madras in 1970. He joined Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) Ltd., as a Design Engineer in 1970 and served for 13 years. After a short stint at MMC-Kolkata, he joined WIDIA (India) Ltd. (Kennametal) as a Project Manager to start the SPM division in 1984 and developed varieties of Machine Tools. He joined Mysore Kirloskar Ltd., Harihar in 1991 as Vice President – Engineering before joining AMS in 1994.

He along with the other promoters founded Ace Manufacturing Systems Ltd., and has since been the Managing Director of the company. He was past president of IMTMA for the period 2017-18 to 2018-19. He was awarded with highest civilian honour of the State of Karnataka, “Karnataka Ratna”.  The Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) felicitated him with the “Kaigarika Ratna” award. He was felicitated with the “Karnataka Rajyotsava Award” by the Government of Karnataka. He was also a recipient of the “IMTMA-Premier Outstanding Entrepreneur Award” by IMTMA.  

N K Dhand, completed his B.Sc. in Physics (Hons.) from Delhi University in 1962 and his B.S in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, USA in 1965. After working for 2 years in USA & running the family enterprise of manufacturing auto parts till 1972, he began the current journey in 1973 as the Founder & Managing Director of MGT-Micromatic Grinding Technologies Private Limited.

He is also a founding member of Micromatic Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd., established in 1980 and served as its Chairman & Managing Director till 2018. He is also a Director of TMI-Toyoda Micromatic Machinery India Ltd., established in 2008 as a JV between MGT & JTEKT Japan. He is also the founding member of Micromatic Grinding Technology.

Apart from these working positions, he has played significant roles in the industry, such as being the Co-Chairman of C-MAT (Core Advisory Group for Research and Development in the Machine Tools Sector) Government of India, President of IMTMA (Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association), President of GMA (Ghaziabad Management Association), Governing Council Member of CMTI (Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, Bangalore), a Govt. of India Undertaking.

Currently he is also the Chairman of Gram Niyojan Kendra , an NGO established in Ghaziabad since 1977.

R. Srinivasan is a Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, BE (Hons) from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Madras University, in the year 1962. He Joined Widia India limited Bangalore as a works engineer in the year 1966 and quickly rose to Leadership positions and was its Managing Director till 1994. He joined the Board of Ace Designers Limited in the year 2002. Mr. Srinivasan has been associated with Various initiatives of the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (IMTMA), particularly the establishment of the Bangalore International Exhibition Center., He is presently on the Board of Public (Listed and Unlisted) and Private limited companies including TTK Prestige Limited, Yuken India Limited, Taegutec India Private Limited, NTTF, Indian Machine Tools Manufacturers Association (IMTMA) etc. He has over 50 Years of Industrustrial Experience in Manufacturing Industries.  

T K Ramesh, is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from BMS College of Engineering with a PGDBA from Bangalore University in 1984. He began his career in Bharat Fritz Werner for a couple of years before joining Ace Designers in 1986. He has over 35 years of experience in Machine Tool marketing in the domestic and international markets.

He has been associated with Ace Designers and Micromatic Machine Tools, the marketing arm of the Ace Micromatic Group for nearly four decades and has played myriad senior leadership roles during his long association. He was nominated to the Board of Ace Manufacturing Systems and continues to serve the company as Non-Executive Director.

He has served Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (IMTMA) during the year 2012 to 2014. He was the founding member, responsible for establishing Ace International – a fully owned subsidiary of Ace Designers in USA. After establishing this subsidiary, he joined Micromatic Machine Tools in 2007 as Vice President and quickly rose to become the Managing Director in 2017, where he continues to play a pivotal role. He is also currently serving as director in Ace Micromatic International

Chandrasekhar Bharathi is a Bachelor of Engineering from Bangalore and holds Masters in Computer Science from the State University of New York. He is the founder of AceMicromatic Manufacturing Intelligence Technologies, in the year 2013.

Kapil Dhand completed his graduation from Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT) Tumkur Karnataka in 1999. Immediately after his graduation, he worked as a Trainee Engineer at Deckel Maho Gildemeister (DMG) in Geretsried , Germany for one year in the Design & Development Department. Was the Chief Engineer for the Technology Transfer project with TOYODA Machine Works (Now part of the JTEKT Corporation, Japan) for the development of High Speed CBN Cam Lobe Grinding machine, which was launched in 2006. He also set up and established a sheet metal fabrication company, Micromatic Manufacturing Systems Private Limited (MMS) in 2009, together with a long time friend & colleague. He has worked in various functions starting from Design, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and Sales before being elevated to the position of the Managing Director in 2015.

Madhavi Chandrashekar completed her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore in 1994. Immediately after graduation, she moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in USA where she earned a diploma in Object Oriented Computer Programming from Wake Technical Community College.

She began her career in 1996 as a software consultant with a leading consulting firm called Analysts International and developed business application software during long term assignments at the cosmetic company Revlon Inc and IBM.

She joined hands with her father Mr. Shirgurkar in developing machine tool industry at Ace Designers Limited as Head Business Development. She has taken up various initiatives in Business Development.

She is also the co-founder of Ace Micromatic Manufacturing Intelligence Technologies and developed the first version of a productivity monitoring software, which is now a well-known product called TPMTrak. She is director of Ace Micromatic Manufacturing Intelligence Technologies

Manisha Kannur completed her graduation in Mechanical Engineering from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore in August 1996. She joined hands with her father Mr. Shirgurkar in developing machine tool industry at Ace Designers Limited. Immediately after her graduation, she started her career at Ace Designers Limited as Engineer- Design and reached a commendable position in the organisation.

Manisha spent nine years in the design function. She was one of the first designers to implement top down design in 3D. She was part of the team which was awarded the prestigious FIE Foundation Award at IMTEX 2004 for the design of CNC lathe with sub spindle. She has taken up active role in new business initiatives of the company.

Madhusudan Kesturholds a degree in B.E. Mechanical Engineering and an M.Tech is Computer Engineering. He has overall responsibility for Product Engineering and delivery at AMiT. He is the founder Director of AceMicromatic Manufacturing Intelligence Technologies in the year 2013.

He has 20+ years of experience in developing and implementing software solutions in the areas of manufacturing and logistics, not only in India but also for the US federal government.

T P Sridhar is a B.E. graduate in Mechanical Engineering and started his career at Indrad Auto Component Limited, Chennai as Trainee Engineer and later joined ASEA Limited, Bangalore and worked for a period of around 10 months. He subsequently joined Ace Designers Limited as Trainee Design Engineer. Along with the design role, was involved in costing and pricing activities. Later with the implementation of SAP, he developed costing and pricing process based on the net value addition principle. Also, actively involved in marketing and market development activities and took direct responsibility of achieving planned numbers. He is the Promoter Director of amace Solutions, a Joint venture(JV) between Ace Designers Ltd. and Ace Manufacturing Systems Ltd. to develop Additive Manufacturing. He is also serving as director in other group companies like Taurus and Ace Micromatic International.

L S Umesh completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore in the year 1981. He joined Mysore Kirloskar Limited, Harihar, (MKL) as a Design Engineer and worked for 13 years. He joined AMS in the year 1994 as a Manager and went on become the Chief Executive Officer and was appointed as Whole-time Director in the year 2018.

He is the Promoter Director of amace Solutions, a Joint venture(JV) between Ace Designers Ltd. and Ace Manufacturing Systems Ltd. to develop Additive Manufacturing. He is also serving as a director in the Board of AMS Bhargava Machining, AMS Precision Products and Ace Micromatic International

L.S. Umesh was a member of the Board of Studies in National Institute of Engineering, Mysore. He was also member of advisory board at H.M.I. Institute of Technology, Tumkur to introduce better industry/institution co-operation. He was honoured with the “U CAN V CAN AWARD” during the year 2018 at KASSIA Auditorium, Bengaluru

B Raghavendrais a commerce graduate and started his career as accountant with Ace Designers Limited in the year 1982, when Ace Designers was a partnership firm. His career grew leaps and bounds where he has held various positions prior to becoming Sr. Vice President - Finance & Projects.

Today, he holds the position of Whole Time Director and Chief Financial Officer in the Company. During his long service with the Company for more than four decades, he had held Finance & Projects port-folios, throughout his career.

He also holds directorship in some of the major group companies like Ace Multi Axes Systems Limited, Taurus Private Limited (100% subsidiary of Ace Designers) and Ace Micromatic International Private Limited. He is actively involved in the Strategic management of Ace Designers Limited.

R Prabhakar is B.E graduate in Mechanical Engineering. Joined Ace Designers in the year 1989 as a Trainee Engineer and went to become the Head of the Department.

He worked in Technical support group and streamlined the entire proposal making process with SOPs, Manuals etc. Also, worked in vendor development process and started ‘Keiretsu’ – Vendor development process. He took charge of SBU – High volume machines product.

He is also in the Board of Taurus private Limited which is a 100% subsidiary of Ace Designers Limited and helping the company in achieving the desired results.

B Harish is a 1986 graduate in B.E. - Industrial & Production Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Mangalore. He started his career as a shop floor engineer with David Brown Greaves Ltd. – Pune and worked with them till 1989.

He joined Delphi TVS in 1990 as Senior Engineer and was deputed for specialized training at the filter plant of M/s. Lucas Diesel Systems – Spain for manufacture of CAV 296 filters. He was the Project leader responsible for establishing the Filter Element manufacturing plant at Delphi TVS. He subsequently joined Voltas Ltd. in the year 1995 as an Assistant Sales Manager in the Machine Tool Division.

He subsequently joined Micromatic Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd., the marketing arm of Ace Micromatic Group in April 1999, as Branch Manager. He has played myriad roles during various stages of his career progression as Regional Manager, General Manager, Vice President and now as Chief Executive Officer.

He has worked in Market Development, Business Development, Branding, Channel Partner network, development of Eco-system partners, New Project implementation, Business Planning, Strategy Deployment, Customer Satisfaction, Employee engagement and Digital Transformation.

T G Deenabandhu holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from SiddaGanga Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. Is a trained six sigma Black Belt and lean practitioner and been a part of TPM certification. Has been a key member and led global teams on process specifics, while working for European JV’s and American subsidiaries in India.

Career spans 32 years in varied high Precision manufacturing like horological industry (shock absorbers), Auto components, Automotive sub-systems (Fuel Injection equipment) and grinding Machine tools. Prior to MGTL, was with M/s Indo- Swiss Antishock ltd, Rambal ltd, Delphi -TVS diesel technologies ltd., Stanadyne India private ltd (since inception and all through growth). Joined Micromatic Grinding Technologies in 2019 as CEO

Has assumed and delivered positions of increasing responsibility in Manufacturing, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Plant Engineering, Materials, Global supply chain Management and Special Projects(Innovation).

Has experience in setting up green field & brown field projects, plant relocation, global restructuring projects, technology transfer and DTA as well as EOU operations. Has widely travelled globally for machine tools selection as well as supplier development.

Prakash G completed his BE in Mechanical Engineering from RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, MS in Manufacturing Management and M.Tech in Digital Manufacturing from BITS Pilani. He started his career in the year 1992 with M/s. Kennametal Widia (India) Ltd in their Machine Tool Division. Later, he moved to Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts Pvt Ltd. and joined Ace Designers in December, 2022.

He has 30 years of experience in Machine Tool & Automotive sector in the areas of Production, Assembly, Maintenance, Utility, Quality, Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Value Stream mapping. He possesses sound technical knowledge in the areas of metal cutting, gear cutting, grinding, pressing, welding, heat treatment, addictive manufacturing and IIoT.

He has a Certification in Theory of Constraints (TOC) and is a member of TOCICO. He is a certified trainer in Toyota Business Practices and member of Quality Circle Forum of India and Indian Society for Quality.

Harish Kumar C is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. He brings along with him a rich experience of 25 years in the Machine Tool Industry. He began his career in 1993 with Bharat Fritz Werner(BFW), a machine tool company in Bangalore as a Sales Engineer and rose to the senior position in BFW. He joined Ace Manufacturing Systems Limited as Chief Operating Officer in January 2017. He is passionate about change management, is a keen learner who looks forward to adopt and experiment new techniques and processes in the pursuit of excellence.

Dr. Vishwas R Puttige completed his BE in Mechanical Engineering from PESIT, Bengaluru in the year 2004 and Masters in System Engineering from Australian Defence Force Academy in 2005. He has a PhD from University of New South Wales at Australian Defence Force Academy. He has spent over 10 years at Ace Manufacturing Systems Ltd. in various functions such as Business Development, Strategic planning, Automation, Export marketing, and Research &Development. In the past 5 years he has incubated the additive manufacturing project from the group and served as the Business Head of company, the development of one of India’s first metal additive manufacturing machines catering to a diverse industries and applications.

P.Thiruvengadam is a Cost Accountant from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India and a B. Tech graduate from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering from T.I.P.I.E, NPC. Thiruvengadam was National Director of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India Pvt. Ltd (DTTIPL) He has over 40 years of experience in management consultancy with a breadth of experience in India, the Middle and Far East Asia. He also served as a Director at Deloitte Haskins & Sells, Bangalore, India during 1999 – 2007. He is also serving as a director in companies like Centum Electronics Ltd., DTDC Express Ltd, Ace Multi Axes Systems Ltd and many more. His main areas of expertise include Management Consulting, Business Process Improvement, Team Leadership, Strategic Planning, Business Strategy, Business Analysis, IT Strategy, HR Strategy, Talent Management, Account Management, Change Management, Quality Audit, Financial Audits, HR Audit, HR Transformation and Business Process Outsourcing Advisory Services; improving HR Service Delivery, Performance and Effectiveness; Systems Design and Organizational Structuring.

B. G. Dwarakanath completed his B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya College of Engineering in the year 1970. He has over 40 years of experience in machine Tools industry. He joined Titan Industries as COO and Vice President, in the year 1985 and served there for 25 years. He is currently associated with Titan Industries as the Senior Corporate Advisor in the areas of Business Excellence, Technology, Product & Service quality, R&D/New product development as well as Executive Coaching. He joined AMS as Independent Director in 2013 and is serving his second tenure as Independent Director. He is also serving in the Board of Titan Mechatronics Limited and Ace Multi Axes Systems Limited.

Shubha Mayya is a graduate in Commerce. She completed her Chartered Accountancy from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in the year 1986. She is an Insurance and Banking Professional and has over 30 years of experience in this field. She has worked with ICICI ltd. ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co. Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). She joined the Board of ACE as an Independent Director in July 2021. She is in the Board of listed companies like Stove Kraft Limited, Happiest Minds Technologies Limited and Le Travenues Technology Limited. Also, in the Board of Ace Manufacturing Systems Limited, an unlisted public company, as an Independent Director.

A Shankar is academically Chartered Accountant and Law graduate. He is practising as Corporate advocate in the matters of Direct Taxation, Financial matters and representation in IT appellate Tribunals. He has been advising various reputed domestic and multi-national Companies on matters relating to taxation, finance etc. He has rich experience in accounting, auditing, taxation and legal field. He joined the Board of Ace Designers Limited in the year 2002 Has participated in various National Conferences, Seminars and Workshops and presented more than 50 Technical Papers. He is associated with Ace Designers Limited from year 2002.

Atul Suresh Bhirangi is a graduate in B. E. - Mechanical Engineering from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli in Maharashtra. After graduation, he worked in Cummins India Limited for about one and half year. Later he joined Pragati Automation Private Limited in 1989. He has been with Pragati automation for more than 3 decades. He became Managing Director in 2001 after Pragati Automation became a Private Limited company and is responsible for the major decision making of the Company.
